January 5 Ruminate on HIS WORD Psalm 119:15-16
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “I will meditate on Your precepts and contemplate Your ways. I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word.” (Psalm 119:15-16)
King David pledged that he would “Meditate, Contemplate, Focus On, and Allow God’s Holy Word to Consume His Thoughts. We can understand that the scriptures refer to David (twice) as a man after God’s Own Heart! Keep in mind, David was a sinner! He was guilty of lying, cheating, adultery, and murder! When David was under the protection of the umbrella of God’s Grace, and he was focusing and feasting on God’s Word, he was walking in the Victory that is assured through the power and presence of God! When David removed himself from that protective covering, he made some serious mistakes and got into much trouble! The lesson for today is simple! When we Meditate, Contemplate and Think about the Scriptures, so that the Word of God Dominates our Lives, then we are going to be “Walking in His Will,” and we are going to be “Praying, Sharing, Focusing, and Claiming God’s Amazing Grace! I commit myself, through the Holy Spirit, to Meditate and Contemplate and Focus on God’s Word, Every Day, Each Day, until God calls be Home or He Raptures the Church! HOW ABOUT YOU? Stay Strong, Stay Focused … THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
